Apparently Dr. Oz had a segment about Bro-tox (men who get Botox). It is a popular procedure for men in business and the entertainment industry. While Botox is not a complicated procedure, because men require a larger dose of Botox, it is important that you choose a doctor who understands how to properly inject Botox and tailor treatment to your specific wrinkles, skin type and face. The biggest complications a male patient can have is having too much Botox put in, which can cause heavy brows and a frozen look, or improperly placed Botox which can feminize the eyes

I returned from the Annual Meeting of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery which was held in my hometown, Chicago. The weather was great, despite the reputation, and I am more in love with my city every time I go. This is a smaller meeting where one can learn a lot from colleagues and keep up with the latest information on derm surgery.
I learned a lot of new tips of how to avoid problems with Botox, Restylane and Juvederm. Luckily, I am pretty conservative and careful and have managed to rarely have complications, but it is always good to see them and have colleagues who are willing to be upfront and honest about things that can go wrong. I also learned a lot more tips on how to make the most of Restylane and Juvederm to make people look younger. There is a new version of Juvederm available in Europe which looks very promising. I’m not so sure about this fat freezing treatment to get rid of fat. Will report back in a year.
Also, it was fun to see my friends, my parents and see Dr. Bennett get “roasted” as he was inducted as President of the ASDS this year. I was an indirect target of these roasts, but luckily nothing negative (I’ll take people calling me “young and hot” any day). Our musically talented colleagues were really entertaining, such as Tom Rohrer, MD from Boston who did a mean spoof rendition of Cake’s “Short Skirt, Long Jacket” and the
Plain White T’s “Hey There Delilah” and Tim Flynn, MD from NC who could be a Vegas impersonator of Rick James or Jim Belushi if Obamacare does us in.
My girls behaved well on the plane, thank god. These girls are spoiled. All they know are hotel suites so far. Little do they know that dad likes the Red Roof Inn. Mom begs him to upgrade to Hampton Inn to no avail.

Haven’t had Botox for 4 years. For 4 long years of trying to get pregnant I had to live with my unintentional scowl (the wrinkles between my brows).
Push came to shove when my mom commented on my photo in the new website. “You look lovely except for a few new wrinkles…” Ummm. thanks. I didn’t know what she was talking about until I noticed that my upper eyelids were heavier and bunched up. I also developed some new crow’s feet.
I have a tradition of teaching our surgical fellow the way I do Botox. For the first time, I had my crow’s feet done.
I am happy to report I do look better and it looks really natural. You’ll have to take my word for this until I publish an updated photo…
