Dr. Elisabeth Shim is Dr. Bennett's associate in Mohs surgery. She is a native Chicagoan who attended Northwestern University, in Evanston, IL and Oxford University, England. She graduated fron Northwestern University Medical School with Alpha Omega Alpha honors.

Dr. Shim completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of Washington, Seattle. Following this, she entered her dermatology residency at the New York University Medical Center, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Shim then completed a fellowship in Mohs and dermatologic surgery at Scripps Clinic, in La Jolla, CA.

Currently, Dr. Shim is an associate faculty member of the Los Angeles County - USC Medical Center. She is a former associate faculty member in the Department of Dermatology at UC San Francisco.

Dr. Shim is board -certified in Dermatology and is a member of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, and the Skin Cancer Foundation. Dr. Shim has authored several research papers in Mohs surgery, laser surgery, and cosmetic dermatology, has lectured at national and international meetings, and has been the recipient of several awards for her research.
